The next edition of IDS, the world’s largest international dental show, will be the 39th. At the European Congress on October 6, 2020, when the corona was still in its infancy, it was decided that IDS 2021 will be held in Cologne, Germany, as it has been in the past as a major event.
Usually held in March each year, it will be held in September in 2021.
The exhibition association has created security and behavior guidelines and wants to meet the safety standards for security compliance.
Despite a number of cancellations by major dental companies, it has become clear that many exhibitors still wish to exhibit at IDS Cologne as in previous years. The current number of registered exhibitors is 1,200, and with the event now being held in September 2021, the number of exhibitors is expected to increase further.
The Chairman Pierce in Germany said, “I am pleased that we are all working together to provide the largest dental platform in this time of crisis. We are committed to working to ensure that the people at Corona Dental are as safe as possible in their work and that they are taking steps toward a financially secure future. He explained.
In order to hold IDS2021 successfully, the association has decided on the following alternatives.
1, The duration of IDS will be reduced from 5 days to 4 days (September 22-25, 2021).
2、Distribute the more than 1,200 exhibitors along the corona protection regulations to guide the flow of visitors.
3、Design the layout of the site and halls to ensure sufficient spacing.
4、A new stand area, wide corridors, and rest areas will enable visitors to be dispersed in a large area.
5、Provide digital tools for international guests and exhibitors to participate and complement their presence.
